How to find Fine Windward Aloe in Monster Hunter Wilds

Fine Windward Aloe is one of several Special Items you can find in Monster Hunter Wilds, and it will help you to complete a specific quest — if you know where to look for it.

Special Items typically represent a group of unique goods not used directly as crafting ingredients. Instead, they're mainly used to trade for vital resources from NPCs. Finding Fine Windward Aloe can be tricky, but knowing their locations will help narrow your search.

How to get Fine Windward Aloe in Monster Hunter Wilds

The first place where you'll come across this particular item is in the Windward Plains region. You must complete Chapter 1-4, titled "A Hunter's Pride". Once done, open the map and look for Windward Succulent.

These plants will provide you with Windward Aloe and its Finer variant (after you have progressed more on the main questline).

You won't find Windward Aloe directly on the map. Instead, look out for the Windward Succulent plants and where they're located in the Windward Plains, and you'll find joy.

Once you've obtained some, head to the Windsong Village in Windward Plains. There, you'll find an NPC called Kilama - the trader of that location. Ask to see her goods, and you can trade the Fine Windward Aloe you obtained with Kunafa Cheese, which will be required later.

This specific item is also used in different recipes, so there's no harm in farming as much Fine Windward Aloe as possible. If you get the basic Windward Aloe, the only difference is the amount of Kunafa Cheese you can obtain.

Best spot to farm Fine Windward Aloe in Monster Hunter Wilds

The process of collecting Fine Windward Aloe and its base variant is the same. The source is also the same as you have to harvest Windward Succulent. The map will change slightly once you have progressed more, and you'll start getting the fine variant.

However, my location in the image above will always be your best spot to find Windward Aloe.

Monster Hunter Wilds puts a lot of emphasis on crafting different items, and you can produce many vital goods using various resources. There are over 50 different crafting recipes that you can unlock inside the game. From healing items to explosives, many of them can be created as long as you have the required ingredients. Compared to other traditional RPGs, there's a cool feature you get to enjoy as well. How to craft items in Monster Hunter Wilds The basic form of crafting is straightforward to understand. Open the Start Menu, and the Crafting List is under the first tab. Of course, you can also check the complete list in our guide, allowing you to do something else inside the game. Some items will be locked if you have just begun your adventures. It's easy to identify them because they won't have any name and are represented by "????". If you have the name of any item, it can be crafted directly with the right resources. The items with hidden recipes will be revealed when you get the items required to produce them. You can also access the same Crafting List from the Start Menu inside your tent. This is the more favorable approach in my books because you can access your full stash of available resources. Image via Destructoid Should you use auto-crafting in Monster Hunter Wilds If you look at my image above, you'll see a toggle option beside every recipe. The game features an auto-crafting system, which makes life easier for beginners. If auto-crafting is toggled on for an item, it will automatically craft one when you have the required ingredients. For example, Potions require the use of Herbs. If you collect Herbs while exploring the lands, they automatically convert into Potions if auto-crafting for the item is turned on. This also applies to advanced recipes that use two different ingredients. At first, I felt comfortable with the auto-crafting feature. However, it can also cause a problem later on, as many recipes often share a common ingredient. Crafting advanced items manually will allow you to exercise control over what you want to craft. Additionally, you'll need some items more than others based on your weapon. For example, if I use a Double-Blade build, I will always want to keep a lot of Potions stacked in my inventory. On the other hand, using a Long Sword will offer you a lot of scope on defense, and the need for Potions will decline. Hence, auto-crafting should only be turned on for the fundamental items and manually proceed when producing the advanced items. The introduction of Investigations allows Monster Hunter Wilds players to engage in side activities, and you can enjoy them alone or with your friends. Investigations are different from normal bounties, as you can create them solo. It allows you to target a monster you'd like to hunt but at a later stage. Alternatively, it also allows you to create customized hunts to enjoy as co-op activities. This guide explains all the steps required to create investigations. How to create an Investigation in Monster Hunter Wilds Creating an Investigation is simple, but you'll need to spend a few Guild Points at minimum. Open the map, and you'll find different monster icons on it. Interact with any icon you like, and select the "Save As Investigation" option. This will create an Investigation, and the amount of Guild Points used will vary depending on the rarity of the monster. To be able to create Investigations, you'll have to complete a high-rank quest that requires capturing a Yian Kut-ku in Chapter 4. Once done, you'll be able to create Investigations when a monster appears on your World Map. This window has many different activities for you to participate in, including investigations. Here, you'll find all the activities that you have created; choose one and begin your quest. Additionally, a single investigation can be completed more than once, but there's a limit on how many times you can do so. How to farm Giant and Miniature Crowns fast in Monster Hunter Wilds

If you want to earn as many Monster Hunter Wilds trophies as possible, it will be necessary to farm Giant and Miniature Crowns as quickly as possible. Compared to older Monster Hunter games, capturing a monster with a Miniature or Golden Crown is much simpler. However, you'll still have to understand the basics and how to spot the correct monster in the first place. Let's explore how to spot a monster with a Crown and what to do after you have spotted one. How to spot Crown Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds Typically, Crown Monsters are creatures that are either bigger or smaller than the average size. So in the case of the Chatacabra, for example, a crowned type will either be the biggest or smallest one you can find. The degree of difference in size will depend on the type of Crown. To spot one, you'll have to use your Binoculars. After equipping it, get close enough to the monster for its name to appear on your screen. You should then see a small Crown right under the name. In older Monster Hunter games, players had to estimate based on the weight and size of a monster. Naturally, the Monster Hunter Wilds system makes it much easier for you to catch a Crown Monster. Image via Destructoid Best way to farm Crown Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds Catching a Crown Monster, in principle, isn't an easy task, as they spawn randomly. If you want the Platinum trophy, you must collect 52 Crowns, with 26 Gold and 26 Miniature. There are lots of monsters to catch, and each has two types. This process doesn't guarantee you will get a Crown Monster in every attempt, but it will save a lot of time if luck isn't in your favor. To do so, you'll be loading your existing save until you can spawn and catch a Crown Monster. While you can attempt this with your friends, I prefer doing it solo to keep things simple. Turn off the internet connection to your PC/console. Select the region where you want to carry on your hunt. Enter your tent, and set the conditions to Abundance and Any Time of the Day. Wait for a monster to appear, and check if it's the one you want to hunt. If a monster you want to hunt hasn't spawned, close the game without saving and start from the second step. If a monster you want to hunt has spawned, check it out using your binoculars. Proceed with the hunt if it has a crown on its head. If not, close the game without saving and restart from step two. This process might employ the age-old method of save scumming, but it's the best way to secure all the Crowns in the shortest time possible.
